IDSA 3d printed car models challenge

Some creative designs and some epic fails ... lots of fun ...

At the 2013 Industrial Design Society of America International Conference Inventables hosted Launch Day. This was a design contest where designers from all over the world were invited to design a 3D printed pinewood derby style car. The top 3 teams measured by farthest distance, most spectacular crash, and most beautiful design won a 3D printer from Inventables. The contest drew over 100 entries from all over the world. The top 10 cars were selected and the race is featured in this video.
